A LIBRARY will be closed for a week to allow work to be carried out including the installation of a new toilet.

Sidcup library in Hadlow Road, Sidcup, will be closed from Monday until next Saturday, September 26, for work to be carried out to the entrance.

This will include the removal of some plants and walls to begin opening up the area to make it more accessible.

New signs will also be put up as well as a new disabled toilet with baby changing facilities.

While the library is closed, all items including books and DVDs can be borrowed and returned at any other Bexley library. After the re-opening, the main entrance will be repaved, new plants will be planted and new artwork will be installed, inspired by Sidcup residents' favourite books.
