An exhibition of local artists and creatives will be running later this year, with plenty of time still for entries.

The “Our Erith” exhibition is set to run from May 13 to May 15 at Christ Church Erith in Victoria Road, and is aiming to have a strong focus on local talent.

Local artists, photographers and craftworkers are encouraged to enter an original piece inspired by Erith.

The exhibition was formally launched by Erith MP Teresa Pearce yesterday (Monday).

She said: “I am very proud of Erith, its history and its people, and am thrilled that the “Our Erith” exhibition is taking place in May this year.

“There are so many local people with artistic talent out there, and now they have an opportunity to show how Erith inspires them.

“Even if people haven’t used their skills for a while, this might be the opportunity to be inspired and produce a piece of art to inspire us.”

The deadline for entries is April 30, with work returned to the artist after the exhibition.
