A local Christian group has teamed up with some of the country’s biggest charities to raise awareness of good health in the community.

The congregation of Gateway Chapel, Erith, will take to the streets of Bexleyheath this Saturday (July 30) to provide blood pressure tests, lung capacity checks, blood glucose checks, cholesterol level checks and other health tests.

Gateway ministries has partnered with The Stroke Association, Blood Pressure UK, Diabetes UK, the British Oral Foundation, the British Lung Foundation, Orchid Male Cancer, and Heart UK to promote health awareness.

John Toju Ogbe, minister for outreach said “This is just one of our ways of supporting and giving back to our community. We share a sense of belonging for all groups in society and this is a great gift to give.”
