A HOSPICE has launched its very own lottery with a weekly jackpot of £1,000.

Anyone over the age of 16 can sign up to the lottery, run by the Greenwich and Bexley Cottage Hospice in Abbey Wood, which begins next Friday.

The weekly draw costs £2 per week and each week £1,500 in prizes will be awarded, with one lucky winner scooping the £1,000 jackpot.

Lottery manager Stacey Booth said: "The weekly lottery will play a vital role in our overall fundraising activities as a regular contribution towards the annual running costs of the hospice. It will help us to continue to provide the level of care to the people of Greenwich and Bexley who need it most."
