Disruption is expected until lunchtime today
Commuters travelling to and from London Cannon Street faced major disruption on Monday morning due to over-running engineering works.
Weekend work at London Bridge over-ran, meaning trains were unable to run to and from Cannon Street for most of this morning.
Southeastern ran an empty train over the affected area to test if services could operate once more.
Trains are now able to run, but Southeastern warned: “Because of the level fo disruption we’ve experienced so far, train services will remain subject to delays, alterations and short notice cancellations for the next few hours.”
Tickets are being accepted on London Underground, buses and DLR at no extra cost to help affected passengers complete their journeys.
A spokesperson from Southeastern added: “You may be entitled to compensation if you experience a delay in completing your journey today. Please keep your train ticket and make a note of your journey, as both will be required to support any claim.”
