A MAN needed 15 stitches to his head after he was glassed with a vodka bottle and hit with a baseball bat as he sat on a riverbank with friends.

A MAN needed 15 stitches to his head after he was glassed with a vodka bottle and hit with a baseball bat as he sat on a riverbank with friends.

The 39-year-old man was sitting on a fallen tree on the riverbank on Crayford Way on Monday, April 28 at around 8.30pm with three friends.

Two men hit him over the head with a vodka bottle and in the chest with a baseball bat.

One of the attackers was 18, white, 6ft and of medium build wearing a blue hooded tracksuit and trainers.

The other man was white, 5ft 8ins with short blond hair, of stocky build, wearing a jumper and tracksuit bottoms.

They both made off after the attack towards Maiden Lane.

He was taken by ambulance to Darent Valley Hospital, Dartford with a serious head wound which required 15 stitches.
