A MAN has pleaded not guilty to a charge of threatening behaviour after a stabbing at an awards ceremony.

A MAN has pleaded not guilty to a charge of threatening behaviour after a stabbing at an awards ceremony.

Raymong Sarpong, 21, of Sheringham Avenue, Ilford, denied the charge when he appeared at Woolwich Magistrates Court last Thursday.

He is on conditional bail following the incident at the Urban Music Awards in the Indigo2 club at the O2 in Greenwich on November 15.

Sarpong was arrested at the scene but later bailed and charged on February 19 this year.

After the fracas a 27-year-old man was rushed to hospital with stab wound while a 22-year-old man suffered minor injuries.

Sarpong's trial is due to begin at Greenwich Magistrates Court on May 1.
