A 34-YEAR-OLD man has denied murdering another man in a knife attack seven years ago.

A 34-YEAR-OLD man has denied murdering another man in a knife attack seven years ago.

Baljinder Singh Kooner, also known as Jindi, pleaded not guilty to murder when he appeared at Maidstone Crown Court on Thursday January 28.

Kooner, 34, of no fixed address, is accused of killing Kamaljit Kalon, known as Bobby at Gordon Promenade, Gravesend in July 2003.

Mr Kalon, (pictured) who was 31 and from Sidcup, died from multiple stab wounds in the attack. Guljinder Singh Gurewal, 34, admitted the murder and was jailed for life, with a minimum tariff of 13 years in September 2008. Arrested in Paris and extradited to the UK in October last year, Kooner will stand trial at Maidstone Crown court on June 14.

He was remanded in custody.
