A 36-year-old man died in hospital after falling from a shopping centre roof.

Paul Bartlett from Greenwich fell off the car park roof at Bexleyheath Shopping Centre, near the Marks and Spencers, last Friday (4) at approximately 2.25pm.

He was taken by air ambulance to Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel where he was in a critical condition with injuries to his head, chest, abdomen, pelvis and legs. But he died at 3.45am on Sunday (6).

The post mortem is due to take place today and police have confirmed that Mr Bartlett jumped and are not looking for anyone else in connection with his death. The next of kin have been informed.
