Man in hospital after Erith assault

A man in his early 30s is in hospital with serious head injuries after an alleged assault.

Police were called to reports of a disturbance on Bridge Road, Erith at around 10pm yesterday (September 30).

Two men have been arrested in connection with the investigation and remain in custody at a South London police Station.

Bridge Road remained closed until this afternoon so that the scene could be forensically examined.

Enquiries are ongoing.
