May fayre dance and arts extravaganza

MORRIS and maypole dancing is planned for a traditional May fayre.

MORRIS and maypole dancing is planned for a traditional May fayre.

The Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich, is due to hold a free spring celebration on Bank Holiday Monday between 11am and 4pm.

Entertainment will include separate dance workshops for children and adults, Tudor and Elizabethan music, storytelling, and a May queen and king competition.

Actors in 19th century dress will show what life was like in Nelson's navy, complete with canon and musket demonstrations.
