A HARD-working mother of two will meet the Prime Minister's wife Samantha Cameron after reaching the finals of a national "Wondermum" competition.

Debby Creech, 51, of Mayfair Avenue, Bexleyheath, manages St Andrews pre-school in Brampton Road, Bexleyheath.

She has been whittled down to the final six of the Sun Wondermum competition after being nominated by her son.

Ms Creech, who was unaware she had been nominated said: "When the paper rang I thought it was an April fool's joke and I was playing along with it.

"I feel very proud but a bit shocked that I managed to get down to the last six."

The pre-school manager, who has worked at St Andrews for 21 years, is due to visit Downing Street today and meet Mrs Cameron.

She will be taken on a ride in the London Eye with her family and attend a lunch ceremony at Claridges where the winner will be announced tomorrow.

Garry Creech, 26, nominated his mother after visiting her at the pre-school and witnessing how hard she works.

He said: "I couldn't believe how much she has to do, I thought it was incredible."

The lucky winner will receive £2,000 worth of Asda vouchers and one year's supply of Bold washing powder.

Fay Hobbs, 66, from Welling who has worked in the pre-school with Debby for 18 years said: "She's a very, very hard worker.

"We all admire her for everything she does there.

She's a brilliant person to work for, there's never a cross word.
