FOUR men arrested on suspicion of vandalising the Stephen Lawrence Centre have been released without charge.

The Crown Prosecution Service told police last Wednesday that they cannot prosecute the suspects for hurling rocks through the Deptford centre's windows on February 14.

Lewisham Borough Commander Chief Supt Alan Pughsley stressed that the culprits may still be brought to justice as the investigation is ongoing.

He said: "We are determined to pursue those responsible for this criminal act and appeal to anyone with any information to come forward."

Anyone with any information can contact Lewisham Police on 020 8284 8339, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 to remain anonymous.
