NEARLY 2,000 people attended an Art Deco fair in the childhood home of Henry VIII.

The bi-annual fair at Eltham Palace in Court Yard attracted 1,924 people last Sunday to raise money for the central English Heritage fund which will be used for the upkeep of their properties.

This recent success has led the organisers to now turn the one-day September fair into a two-day event beginning on a Saturday. The May fair will remain a one-day event.
