James Wynn, 73, from Woolwich, was last seen on Monday at 8am by staff at Queen Mary's Hospital in Sidcup.

He had been undergoing treatment as an in patient for a heart condition and blood clot to his leg.

Mr Wynn left the hospital without formally being discharged and did not take his medication with him.

Police are concerned that his condition will deteriorate rapidly if he does not take his medication.

Mr Wynn, known to frequent the Woolwich and Thamesmead areas was last seen wearing a long sleeved cream shirt and dark trousers.

He is five foot three inches tall, of slim build with short receding light brown, greying hair. He has a strong Scottish accent.

Police are urging anyone who has any information as to the whereabouts of James Wynn to call Bexley Police Missing Persons on 0300 123 1212.
