A DRIVE to raise money for a church minibus in memory of Jimmy Mizen has got halfway towards its target.

A DRIVE to raise money for a church minibus in memory of Jimmy Mizen has got halfway towards its target.

The Jimmy Bus Appeal, set up after 16-year-old Mr Mizen was killed in a bakers in Burnt Ash Hill, Lee, on May 10, has raised over £12,000.

The Mizen family, who own a cobblers in High Street, Sidcup, will donate the money to Our Lady and Lourdes Church, which is in the same road Mr Mizen was killed.

Times readers have generously donated £465 towards the £20,000 needed to raise money for a minibus.
