A MODEL fluent in four languages will be flown to the Bahamas to take part in an international beauty pageant after winning big in the capital.

Alina Fedynyshyets, 22, from Welling, who emigrated to the UK from the Ukraine when she was 12-years-old, has been crowned Miss American Dream Europe 2009 out of 25 finalists.

She will be flown out to the Bahamas in two weeks to enter the Miss American Dream World finals after winning the European title in South Kensington on November 7.

Winning the European title included a catwalk show wearing a bikini, motor suits and eveningwear.

The travel and tourism student said: "I was ecstatic and a little bit shocked because I did it for fun. It was very pleasing for me. I would love to be a full-time model. I would like to meet new people and travel the world."

The former Blackfen School for Girls pupil has been modelling part-time for one-and-a half years and her portfolio includes a recent photoshoot for the hairdressers Toni & Guy.

She said: "I would like to do a couple more years to establish myself, if it is possible. I think maybe I have three years more years left in modelling and then I want to be part of a cabin crew because I like travelling and speaking different languages."

Currently she is fluent in Hungarian,

Russian, Ukrainian and English and knows French and Spanish.

Winners of the international competition get a spot in the competition's calendar.
