More than 12,000 people sign up for Sidcup street party

The party is celebrating the Queen's 90th birthday
Sidcup town centre is set to be backed this weekend as more than 12,000 residents have registered for a street party celebrating the Queen’s 90th birthday.
Based in and around Sidcup High Street, a line up of entertainment including live music, magic, balloon models, Pearly Kings and Queens and more has been arranged.
Deputy mayor Val Clark will be joining the celebrations, and will release 90 balloons in honour of Her Majesty’s birthday.
The event is free to attend with a small charge for reserved seating at tea tables.
Sue Petty is the chair of Sidcup Town Team Consortium, which is hosting the event.
She said: “We have had a fantastic response from the public and are really looking forward to this event.
“The Queen’s birthday provides a fantastic opportunity to bring our local communities together to celebrate and honour Her Majesty’s life.”
