More than 3,000 cannabis plants have been seized along with thousands of pounds worth of hydroponics after police raided an address in Crayford this morning.

One male was arrested at the scene after officers from Bexley Police’s Problem Solving Team executed a s23 Misuse of Drugs Warrant.

The electricity set up in the property poses a risk to neighbouring properties and police are working with UK Power Network to make the property safe.

Acting police sergeant Garrey said “As my team entered the property it was instantly clear it was a cannabis factory. The entire house had been insulated. Every room in the house was being used to cultivate cannabis.

“This is the second cannabis factory my team have located this week and sends out a strong message that drug distribution and cultivation will not be tolerated in Bexley.”
