MP for Bexleyheath and Crayford, David Evennett has joined other MPs in criticising the plans
Bexleyheath and Crayford MP David Evennett has joined in the criticism of the planned rail closures over Christmas.
Mr Evennett sent a letter to the chief executive of Network Rail, Mark Carne, voicing his concerns.
In the letter Mr Evennett said: “These proposals will cause significant disruption to those who will continue to work in London over the Christmas period and also affect others with travel plans for family or entertainment purposes.
“I am also concerned about capacity, particularly on regular working days, during this period, and ensuring that there are adequate alternative services.
“I urge Network Rail to reconsider its plans for this Christmas.”
Planned works will close Charing Cross, London Bridge and Canon Street closed from December 24 until the new year.
