FOUR men have appeared in court charged with the murder of a young father.

FOUR men have appeared in court charged with the murder of a young father.

Demolition worker Barry Hammond, 27, of Walmer Terrace, Woolwich, was stabbed in the neck at around 4am on April 28 last year, during a disturbance on Woolwich New Road.

Pepe Beaumont, 20, of Calestock Way, Greenwich; Kerdon Wright, 21, of Spearman Street, Woolwich and Joseph Danny Wright, 23, of Fennel Street, Woolwich appeared at Greenwich Magistrates Court last Thursday charged with murder and violent disorder.

They were remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on June 19.

A further three men received cautions for affray, including one 20-year-old man who got injured in the incident.
