A MURDER investigation has been launched after police found a body at a home.

Police were called by people concerned about the man's safety before officers discovered the body last Sunday at approximately 5.50pm, in Kellaway Road, Kidbrooke, near Queen Elizabeth's Hospital.

A post mortem held at Greenwich Mortuary on Monday gave the cause of death as head and chest injuries.

At the time of going to press, police had not released the man's identity.
