TV presenter Nadia Sawalha joined 350 people in a twilight walk in Bexleyheath to raise money for a children’s charity.

The fundraisers marched through Danson Park last Friday (September 21) at 7pm dressed in pink tutus and pyjamas to support chYps, a hospice which cares for seriously ill youngsters in Bexley and North Kent.

Nadia Swalha said: “I have met so many inspirational people and heard so many moving stories. The work that chYps does is so important.”

This was the fourth year of the twilight walk, and the second that Miss Sawalha has been involved.

The event lasted three hours and the charity hopes to beat last year’s total of £13,000 despite the poor weather.
