Twelve people now arrested over death of engineering student

Another man has been arrested in connection with a murder in Thamesmead – taking the total number of people arrested to twelve.

The 23-year-old was arrested yesterday over the death of engineering student Clheve Massi, 24, from Tottenham.

He died after being shot in Erebus Drive, Erith, in the early hours of Sunday, February 1.

Police came across him on their way to the address after shots were heard at around 4.30am. He and two other men were in a blue Ford Focus and a grey Audi A3 which had stopped in the road in Western Way.

Mr Massi was taken to a London hospital, but died a couple of hours later.

Two women, aged 26 and 24, and four men, three aged 19 and one aged 25, have been released on police bail until next month.

Five other men, all in their twenties, were arrested but released with no further action. The two men in the cars with Mr Massi were not arrested.
