A new Sunday service on a bus route servicing Joydens Wood and Coldblow in Bexley has been agreed by Transport for London (TfL).

The service on the B12 bus route comes into play on April 28 and is expected to operate twice an hour between 7am and midnight,

It is likely that services from Erith will run clockwise round the Joydens Wood loop before noon and then anti-clockwise thereafter.

A final timetable is yet to be released.

The change has been supported by the Coldblow Residents’ Association, Bexley Council, Old Bexley and Sidcup MP James Brokenshire and Bexley and Bromley London Assembly member James Cleverly.

Mr Cleverly said: “I’m absolutely delighted that TfL have now responded positively to calls from the community to introduce Sunday services on the B12 route.

“Access will be significantly improved for parts of the borough that don’t currently have any public transport available on Sundays.

“I anticipate the news about this additional Sunday bus service being very well received by local residents.”
