New chief executive appointed by Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust

The new chief executive of Dartford-based Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust, which provides services in Bromley, Bexley and Greenwich, has been announced.

Following approval at the council of governors meeting yesterday (June 21) Matthew Trainer has been officially appointed.

He has joined the trust from King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, where he has been managing director of the Princess Royal University Hospital in Bromley since November 2016.

Matthew, who will assume the role in October said: “I feel truly honoured to be joining the Oxleas team.

“I’ve worked with a number of colleagues from across the trust over the years and I have a huge amount of respect for the work they do.”

Andy Trotter, Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust Chair, said: “I’m really pleased to welcome Matthew to Oxleas.

“His combination of experience and leadership ability will be a huge asset and enable Oxleas to continue to flourish.”
