It will be held over May half term.

A new community arts festival will be bringing live music, theatre, workshops and exhibitions to Thamesmead.

Devised by Trust Thamesmead, part of the Peabody Group, it will be taking place from May 25 to 31.

A number of renowned arts organisations including Rose Bruford Performing Arts College and the Albany Theatre are involved.

Peabody’s CEO, Stephen Howlett said: “The Peabody group is proud to be launching the first ever, all-encompassing Thamesmead Arts Festival.

“It will offer a range of activities, featuring some of south east London’s most innovative and diverse artists.

“We hope that this one week will be the beginning of something bigger, kick-starting an arts programme that will leave a legacy lasting well in to the future.”
