PLANS to redevelop a key Crayford town centre site took a step closer this week after stalling due to the recession.

Legal agreements on the scheme to regenerate the centre with a Town Hall refurbishment and 180 new homes were agreed with R&M Projects and Gallions Housing Association.

The first phase, focussing on the development of 144 affordable new homes, will start imminently.
