New members sought by Bexley Rotary Club

The Bexley Rotary Club are currently in the process of recruiting new members to join in their many charitable and varied events, the most recent being an interesting talk about The Battle of Trafalgar.

The event was open to both members and guests, and, led by David Baxter, was met with enthusiasm from both.

Romance took the forefront of the evening despite the topic at hand, as David revealed he had plucked up the courage to ask his partner of 30 years, Joyce Irvine, to be his wife.

Mr Baxter then regaled the audience with his vast knowledge of the Battle of Trafalgar, taking questions at the end of his speech.

Michael Smith, Vice President of the club, said: “The topic was thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended.

“Bexley Rotary Club has outdone it selves yet again.”
