A new nursery has opened in Sidcup following the shock closure of a privately-run day care centre in June.

The new, Ofsted-registered, Noah’s Ark Day Nursery caters for 34 children at the North Cray Neighbourhood Centre, in Davis Way.

Council officers began working with parents the morning after Mapalim day nursery closed suddenly on June 27, to the dismay of parents who were left stranded without childcare.

Mapalim refused to tell the Bexley Times why it had shut.
