AN ATHLETE raced 14 miles against a steam train in an unusual sporting event.

AN ATHLETE raced 14 miles against a steam train in an unusual sporting event.

Blackheath and Bromley Harriers runner Jane Bradshaw took part in the Race the Train contest held in, Tywyn, amongst the Welsh mountains, on August 15.

She was the second woman to finish the cross country race, coming in 92nd overall out of 959 participants, with a time of 1:43.59s.
