A YOUNG police officer has been charged with inciting a girl to watch a sexual act.

A YOUNG police officer has been charged with inciting a girl to watch a sexual act.

Probationer police constable Marco Nogueira, 23, who worked in Greenwich, is due to appear at City of Westminster Magistrates Court next Thursday and is currently on bail. Following the investigation by the Met's Child Abuse Investigation Command, Nogueira was arrested on February 27 this year and the next day charged with one count of inciting a girl under 14 to watch a sexual act. The alleged offence happened in February last year, before Nogueira joined the force.

He has been suspended from the Met police pending the outcome of the criminal proceedings.
