Three children from Pathways Short Stay School in Abbey Wood stayed on the road to success with excellent performances in a youth motorbike event.

The team, which consisted of 15 year olds Jacob Young, Connor Money and Kenny Bennett, took part in the Youth Endurance Inter Project Challenge at Dockland Riders’ KG5 track in London earlier this month.

The trio are part of the Bexley Kickstart Motor Project, which operates at Sidcup Youth Centre.

The gruelling challenge was made up of three elements - time trial, endurance and mechanical tests.

Jacob came out at the top of the individual rankings for the time trial and the team secured first place in the other two disciplines.

Altogether 13 teams were drawn from various different bike projects across the capital.
