Progress is being made with plans to redevelop the Manor House Sidcup.

Following a successful marketing campaign, the council has identified a preferred partner and is working with them to develop a boutique hotel and spa, which will ensure a positive future for the much-loved Grade II Listed local landmark.

Cllr Linda Bailey, cabinet member for regeneration and growth, said: “As someone who used to work in the town centre, I am really pleased we have found a partner that will help us secure the future of the Manor House, boost the local economy and create new jobs for local people”,

The council hopes to be able to share more details of the scheme by the early summer, after which public engagement will take place.

The final scheme will also be subject to planning approval, which will provide an opportunity for interested parties to review the plans in detail and have their say.
