More than 220 Santas took part in the dash around Danson Park

Over 220 Santas set off on a dash around Danson Park in Bexleyheath last week.

The mass of Father Christmases ran, walked and jogged a 5km route, in the hope of raising around £6,000 for Greenwich and Bexley Community Hospices.

Community fundraiser, Claire Rogers, said: “There was a great atmosphere to the event and everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves. We will definitely be repeating the Santa dash again next year.

“Events like this bring the community together and provide us with an opportunity to raise the necessary funds, enabling us to continue providing our specialist care free of charge to those who need it most in the boroughs of Bexley and Greenwich.”
