Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust, which provides mental health and community health services in Bexley and across south-east London, has been nominated for two national awards.

The trust has been put forward for two Health Service Journal awards - provider trust of the year and staff engagement. The winners will be announced at a ceremony on November 19.

Oxleas’ chief executive Stephen Firn said: “We have done really well to be shortlisted twice as finalists. I know that the competition will be stiff, but whatever the outcome I am proud of the effort our staff have made to get this far.”

Director of human resources and organisational development Simon Hart added: “This just goes to show what a dedicated and hard working staff we have here at Oxleas. Whether we win any of these awards or not I know that the ‘can do’ attitude of staff will not change.”
