Ivan Dzanie Kotei, 29, from Thamesmead, was killed in Beresford Street, near the junction with Plumstead Road, Woolwich, last Saturday at approximately 7.20am.

He was hit by a large white furniture removal lorry which was travelling towards Greenwich.

Just over a week earlier, Murugesa Balasingam, 61, of Bradgate Road, Catford died after being hit at approximately 12.30pm on November 21 near the traffic light junction of Plumstead High Street, White Hart Road and Lakedale Road.

Sri-Lankan born Balasingam died at the scene and a post mortem at Greenwich mortuary three days after gave the cause of death as multiple injuries. An inquest into Mr Balasingam's death at Southwark Coroners Court opened and adjourned last Thursday.

The coroner is due to give his verdict on July 13 next year.

Both drivers stopped at the scene of the collisions and there have been no arrests in either case.
