Pensioner on drive charge

A PENSIONER is due to appear in court charged with driving without due care and attention after her involvement in an accident in which a pedestrian died.

A PENSIONER is due to appear in court charged with driving without due care and attention after her involvement in an accident in which a pedestrian died.

Maureen Bird, 72, of Denberry Drive, Sidcup is also charged with failing to notify the DVLA of a medical condition.

Father-of-two Alan Beveridge, of Beckford Drive, Petts Wood, was killed on March 27 this year, near Crofton Junior School, Crofton Lane, Orpington.

Bird will appear at Bromley Magistrates Court on February 26 next year.
