A MANIPULATIVE father who trawled Facebook persuading young girls to send him photos was snared by a potential victim's dad.

Paedophile David Webster, 37, of Townsend Close, Sidcup, admitted collection 100 indecent images of children from 18 countries sometimes by posing as a young girl online.

Webster was banned from speaking to under-16s other than his own children for life and put on the sex offenders register for life, at the Isle of Wight Crown Court on March 13. The father-of-three was caught when a UK computer expert monitored his daughter's Facebook account and became suspicious about her contact with a man using the name 'David Miles', who was in fact Webster.

Jailing Webster for 14 months, Nicholas Gerasimidis branded him coercive and manipulative and banned him from communicating with children under the age of 16, except his own. He will remain on the Sex Offenders Register for life.

When police seized Webster's computer they found 90 child porn films, including some showing rape, sadism and bestiality. One girl featured was thought to be only three years old according to police.

For Webster, Jamie Porter said his client had been going through marriage problems and had created a fantasy world on the internet.
