Peter Andre awarded two Bexley schoolchildren for writing a story about a walks in the borough.

Grace Donovan, 7, from Bedonwell Infant and Nursery School in Belvedere and Kieran O’Rourke, 8, from St Joseph’s RC Primary School in Crayford, went to City Hall in London Bridge last Thursday (26) to meet the pop star.

Their entries about the Cob Horse sculpture in Belvedere and Crayford clock tower were chosen along with 16 other entries to go on display at City Hall as part of Transport for London’s “Welcome to my borough” Big WoW story-writing competition.

Grace said: “I wrote about the Cob Horse in Belvedere because I love it. It is so beautiful. I think all people visiting London in 2012 should get a chance to see it.”

Kieran added: “I wrote about Crayford clock tower and about the history of Crayford. You don’t notice as much when you are in a car so I think it is good that we are encouraged to walk to school.”
