Police arrest 24-year-old in connection with stabbing in Sidcup

The victim’s injuries are not thought to be life-threatening

A 24-year-old has been arrested following the stabbing of another man in Sidcup in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Police were called at approximately 5.20am on June 10, to reports of a man suffering a stab injury in Station Approach, just outside Tesco Express.

Officers and London Ambulance Service attended, and the 27-year-old victim was taken to a south London hospital for treatment.

His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson, said: “A man - aged 24 - was arrested near to the scene on suspicion of GBH with intent. He was taken to a south London police station and has been bailed pending further enquiries to a date in early July.”

Officers also stated Bexley police will continue to investigate and enquiries are ongoing.
