POLICE have arrested a fellow employee on suspicion of theft.

POLICE have arrested a fellow employee on suspicion of theft.

The 26-year-old, who works in Bexley, was arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of conspiracy to commit misconduct in a public office, conspiracy to steal, and theft.

This comes a week after seven people, including a Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) officer, were arrested last Wednesday in connection with similar offences.

They were believed to be involved in the theft and ringing of expensive cars and burglary and the supply of drugs to prisoners.

They have all been bailed to return in mid-June following further enquiries.

At the time of going to press the 26-year-old woman remained in custody at a south London police station.

All were investigated as part of the MPS' Anti-Corruption Command which acts on allegations of corruption within the force.
