Power cut hits Welling for nearly three hours this morning

More than 100 people were affected by a power cut caused by an underground electricity cable.

The cut happened at 8.21am today in the Wrotham Road area of Welling, leaving people with an interrupted service or non at all.

A spokesperson for power company EDF Energy said: “Networks engineers worked as quickly and as safely as possible with supplies to all customers restored at 11.03am.

“We appreciate how difficult it can be to lose power and apologise for the inconvenience caused by this incident.”
