Pub brawl: Nine in court

THE trial of nine men involved in a pub brawl which left two men seriously injured and three more with stab wounds is due to take place next week.

THE trial of nine men involved in a pub brawl which left two men seriously injured and three more with stab wounds is due to take place next week.

All the men will appear at Croydon Crown Court on April 15 for their part in the fight which took place on May 26 last year outside the Bird in Hand pub, in Bickley Road, Bickley.

Paul Morgan, 32, of Lions Close, Mottingham, is charged with violent disorder and two counts of possessing an offensive weapon, alleged to be a large kitchen knife.

He has been remanded in custody.

Asad Ahmed, 27, of Harwood Avenue, Bromle; Dean Bagnall, 43, of Faringdon Avenue, Bromley; Grant Debell, 31, of Nightingale Lane, Bromley and Tyrone Seagar, 30, of Wellington Road, Bromley, were all charged with violent disorder and bailed.

Also bailed and facing violent disorder charges are Bernard King, 47, of Beblets Close, Orpington; Andrew Owen, 28, of Southborough Lane; Mark Brown, 29, of Ashgrove Road, Bromley and Christian Lordan, 32, of Shroffold Road, Downham.
