Police are appealing for information about the incident

Police have launched an appeal for information after a man was caught stealing a charity box from a pub in Bexley Village.

At around 10.50pm on July 12, the suspect was drinking in the Millers Arms public house in Bexley Village, in the company of a pregnant woman.

When the landlord momentarily left the bar area, the suspect was seen to walk behind the bar and pick up a ‘Meningitis Now’ charity box, before hiding it in his clothing and leaving the pub.

The incident was caught on CCTV.
