It is one of two Grade 1 listed industrial buildings in London

Crossness Sewage Treatment Works is opening its doors to the public this weekend.

On Sunday, visitors are invited to attend Beam Engine House on Bazalgette Way, to see one of the two industrial buildings in London to be given a Grade 1 listing.

A selection of ornamental cast ironwork, described as “a master piece of engineering - a Victorian cathedral of ironwork”.

Price of admission is £8 for adults, £2 for those between 5-16 and under 5s go free.
