SHOPPERS were given a chance to test their sporting mettle when the Olympic roadshow visited a town centre.

The Mall, Bexleyheath, was host to the Get Set London Roadshow last Monday, allowing people to discover their sporting potential on exercise machines.

Shoppers were invited to measure their reaction speeds and heart rates, then compare their results to Olympic medallists.

Young sporting ambassadors were also on hand at the show to encourage more young people into sport ahead of the 2012 Olympic Games.

Ambassador Daniel Clark, 14, from Woodside School said: "It's great to see so many people finding out more about the games.

"The 2012 Olympic Games will bring lots of opportunities to the area, I'm really quite excited!
