The nation will commemorate its war dead this weekend

This weekend, the nation will remember the soldiers who fought and died in the line of duty, and a number of events are to be held in Bexley.

The Mayor’s Civic service is to take place at 10am on Sunday, November 13, at St Paulinus Church in Crayford.

There will also be a parade and service at Bexleyheath War Memorial on Sunday.

Peabody, partners and residents in Thamesmead will meet at 2.55pm on Friday 11 November by the clock tower in Thamesmead Town Centre to honour the fallen.

A remembrance event at St John’s Church, Sidcup, will begin at 10.55am and will be followed by a short walk to the war memorial at The Green, where a wreath-laying ceremony will take place at 11.30am.
