The campaign is highlighting the impact of living with Crohn's Disease or Ulcerative Colitis
A local MP has given his support to the international Crohn’s and Colitis Awareness Week, starting next week.
The campaign attempts to highlight the impact of living with the main two forms of Inflammatory Bowel Disease.
Crohn’s and Colitis UK, the national patient charity, have joined other international groups to raise awareness and understanding of these life-long and potentially life-threatening conditions.
Living with IBD can have serious phsyical and mental health implications.
Bexleyheath and Crayford MP David Evennett said: “These are unpredictable diseases that affect many of my constituents. Inflammatory bowel diseases can cause real struggles for people suffering from these conditions.
“This Awareness Week is therefore important so that we can reach out to more people who may be feeling isolated or coping badly with their health.”
