Erith residents are being asked to suggest road names for the rebranded Larner Road estate, which is going to be called Erith Park.

The first tower block, Pretoria House, has been completely demolished and the team behind the regeneration are calling on members of the public to suggest road names.

Regeneration project manager Caroline Field said: “We’re looking for names for the streets and apartment blocks of the new development now.

“We’re keen to use names which have a strong connection with Erith’s history.

“We’d love to hear suggestions from readers, together with an explanation of how they relate to local history.”

The first new home is due to be ready early in 2015 and the whole 620-home project is expected to take five years to complete.
